Here’s a rundown of what to expect:

New Home screen: The Apple TV 4K will come with a new Home screen designed for content discovery. The one thing users should notice immediately is the full-screen video previews.

Multi-user support: With tvOS 13, users can easily switch between different users via Control Center. Users will see their own Up Next list and get TV and movie recommendations based on their tastes.

Apple Music: Apple Music will run on tvOS 13. Thanks to multi-user support, each member also get his or her own personalized playlists and recommendations. Time-synced lyrics will also appear onscreen so users can follow along easily.

Apple Arcade: Apple Arcade, Apple’s gaming service, is coming this fall as well, and will work on Apple TV 4K. Apple says that customers will be able to play Apple Arcade games across iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Apple TV.

Support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers: tvOS 13 will work with the Microsoft’s Xbox One S (over Bluetooth) and Sony’s PlayStation DualShock 4 game controllers.

New screen savers: Apple TV 4K is getting new underwater screen savers. Filmed in collaboration with the BBC Natural History Unit, the team behind “Blue Planet,” the new videos captured from the depths of oceans around the world will showcase mesmerizing creatures and scenes.
