PETALING JAYA: Apple has issued an immediate fix after a glitch in its latest iOS update forced Apple devices to go into a reboot loop.

Apple on its website urged users to turn off notifications for all apps on Apple devices before updating the device to iOS 11.2.

After updating, users can go to settings, and click on notification to turn on 'allow notifications' for each app.

According to Singapore's The Straits Times, iPhone users had experienced automatic repeated restarts after the 11.1.2 software update on Saturday (Dec 2).

The Straits Times also quoted tech sites that claimed that the bug was date-related.

"Users said the issue began when the time turned to 12.15am on Dec 2," it said.

Users who are still experiencing unexpected restarts after the iOS 11.2 update can contact Apple Support.
