Apple rolls out iPhone 5 battery replacement program for affected users

Did you get the Apple iPhone 5 during the first five months of its availability? Are you experiencing shorter battery life or find the need to charge your iPhone 5 more frequently? If the answers to both questions are "yes", you may be eligible for the iPhone 5's battery replacement program.

According to Apple, a small number of iPhone 5 units sold between September 2012 and January 2013 may have the above mentioned battery issues. It recommends users to check their eligibility for the program by keying in the serial number of the iPhone 5 on its website.

The replacement program is already available in the U.S and China since August 22. It will be rolled out to other countries from August 29. For iPhone 5 users in Singapore, they have to head to Apple's authorized Service Providers to have the battery replaced. The two service providers in Singapore are:

A.LAB@PS BY AEON EARTH PRIVATE LIMITED
PLAZA SINGAPURA, 68 ORCHARD ROAD, #04-12B
SINGAPORE 238839

QCD@WL BY QCD TECHNOLOGY PTE LTD
