B&O Play Form 2i

B&O Play Form 2i

Bang & Olufsen has a knack for beautiful and classy designs. Some 30 years ago, it came out with a nice-looking headphone called the Form 2 which remained in the market for a long, long time and was even included in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Now in 2014 and under a new brand name B&O PLAY, the Form 2 has been upgraded to the Form 2i. which retains pretty much the same look but with new in-line remote controls and artwork (part of the B&O PLAY x Pepsi "Live for Now" Capsule Collection) on the headband.

The Form 2i is a very light headset and the earpads sit over the ear in a most comfortable way - which makes it ideal for prolonged travel use although the sound seal is not that great and may not be able to cut off all external noise. But it is a trade-off as the Form 2i's light touch frees the user from the tight grip of some headphones which makes the ear hot after a while. Sound quality is good and the headset's low impedance does not make it difficult to drive.

Surprisingly too, given that all things B&O usually do not come cheap, the Form 2i will set you back only $238.
