Broadband service disrupted in Sengkang area after contractor cut links

SINGAPORE - Internet connection in Sengkang area were disrupted when the underground fibre optic network was accidentally cut by a contractor.

It happened about 10 minutes after midnight (Jan 22) after a contractor performing drainage and sewage works along CTE and Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 junction sliced through it.

Network builder NetLink Trust said in a statement that it was working with the various parties involved to restore service and expects full recovery at 11am this morning (Jan 22).

Those in affected areas can monitor NetLink Trust's website (www.netlinktrust.com) where updates will be posted.
