Early birds get their hands on Apple's new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

SingTel said more than 50,000 customers who had earlier registered their interest for the phone on its website logged on at 3pm on Wednesday to try to book an appointment to collect the phone. More than 15,000 slots were snapped up in less than 15 minutes. About 5,000 customers are expected to purchase their phones at the event today.

Stomp contributor James spotted a queue that had already started outside NuBox at Tampines Mall today, Sep 18, at 1.40pm.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is due to release tomorrow, Sep 19.

That would mean it is at least a 19-hour wait for those people queueing.

The Stomp contributor said:

"As early as 1.40pm today there are already around 20 people in the queue.

"I managed to speak to one person queueing up and he said he was not able to preorder from his Telco service provider that's why he is lining up to get his hands on the latest Apple product."
