SINGAPORE - Ikea, the Swedish company most famous for its ready-to-assemble furniture and meatballs, has just created something revolutionary: the BookBook™, which has eternal battery life (yes, you read that right, eternal) and boasts some cutting edge features.
The BookBook™, which is actually Ikea's 2015 product catalogue, takes a jibe at Apple's famous product videos featuring Apple's Senior Vice President of Design Jonathan Ive, in a spoof video.
"The first thing to note is, no cables. Not even a power cable," Jörgen Eghammer, Ikea's Chief Design Guru says, with a cheeky grin.
"The 2015 Ikea Catalogue comes fully charged and the battery life is eternal.
"The navigation is based on tactile touch technology that you can actually feel."
Jörgen goes on to laud the amazing features in Ikea's BookBook™, such as instantaneous loading speeds and stunning resolution.
"Content comes pre-installed. There are 328 high-definition pages.
"Notice something else? That's right, NO LAG," Jörgen says mockingly.
"Each crystal-clear page loads instantaneously no matter how fast you scroll."
The BookBook™ also comes with a password-protection feature, which is really, a verbal warning from the user.
It's not a Digital Book, or an E-book, it's a BookBook™. Ikea's one-of-a-kind book.
