Lenovo launches A7000 smartphone in Southeast Asia

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Lenovo has announced that it will release the A7000 smartphone in Southeast Asia via an exclusive partnership with online retailer Lazada. The launch will take place across the following six ASEAN countries:- Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines.

The Lenovo A7000 first made its debut at Mobile World Congress in March of this year, and Southeast Asian customers will now be able purchase the smartphone on Lazada. The A7000 is the world's first smartphone to feature Dolby Atmos technology, which comes paired with a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 IPS display and MediaTek's 1.5GHz True8Core processor with support for 4G LTE.

Lenovo wasn't kidding when they said the A7000 is built for entertainment on a budget. The phone is available starting today on Lazada Singapore at S$229 and will come bundled with a free screen protector. For those worried about the warranty support with online purchases, the A7000 will still be backed by Lenovo's official warranty.

The first 300 customers will also enjoy same-day delivery. To garner further interest, Lenovo is putting up three A7000 smartphones to be won, available to all who register their emails on Lazada Singapore by 22 May.
