M1 rectifies potential security breach on website

SINGAPORE - Telco M1 announced this morning on its Facebook page that it has fixed a potential security breach on its website. It has resumed accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 6.

The first batch of iPhone 6 Plus has been fully booked for pre-order.

M1 announced last night that it had discovered a potential breach. "As a precaution to protect our customers’ personal information, we will be temporarily suspending pre-orders while we urgently investigate this issue," it said in a post on Facebook. "We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding."

In this morning's update, the telco said "The potential security breach has been rectified and we are now accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 6. M1 places the utmost priority in protecting our customer data and privacy and has implemented strict processes and procedures to safeguard customer information including regular security audits.

"We will be conducting a full review on this incident, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused."
