This mattress ad is so chic, you'd think it's for a phone

When was the last time you got excited for a piece of black rectangle? Probably when the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the iPhone 7 was first announced.

But how about a mattress? No one ever gets excited over mattress advertisements, but this latest ad is so sexy, it could pass off as an iPhone ad.

Throughout the video, you will be regaled by black sophisticated looking mattresses spinning around, accompanied by words which promise a technological feat in mattress making like no other. 

It is obvious that Mattress Firm is trying to market their mattresses as the next sexy piece of technology you should buy. Another video by them even calls it the most important tech reveal of 2017.

The effectiveness of this marketing angle remains yet to be seen but at least they hired Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak to help with this endeavour. He was invited on stage together with Mattress Firm CEO Ken Murphy during the launch event, which was aptly called Technology to Turn Off.

In their effort to put technology in the most unexpected of places - the mattress, Mattress Firm is hoping its two new products, the Beautyrest Black Hybrid and the Serta iComfort Temptouch will bridge the gap between technology and sleep.

Just a quick look through their website and you will find it familiar with Apple's. I don't know about you, but mattresses have never looked so good up until now.

Who knows? In the near future, we could be having everything marketed like a smartphone to us.
