Microsoft is sending one S'pore gamer on zero-gravity flight

SINGAPORE - Usually when a press statement says "once-in-a-lifetime", sceptical journalists (like us) are likely to remove the adjective. This time, however, we'll gladly call Microsoft's prize for its latest Xbox promotion a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Microsoft is sending one lucky Singaporean, and his or her guest, on a High Flyers trip that'll see them jet around the globe to visit game studios, watch Super Bowl live, and - more importantly - experience zero-gravity on board a parabolic flight.

Yes, a real zero-gravity experience, this one to be exact.

The itinerary for the Xbox One High Flyers tour reads like a dream trip for any gamer or geek:

Day 1 - Visit Ubisoft Singapore's Assassin's Creed sound studio to record your voice
Day 2 - Zero Gravity flight
Day 3 - Attend Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Arizona
Day 4 - Depart for Vancouver, Canada
Day 5 - Visit the EA Sports Studio for a Motion Capture session, followed by a visit to Capcom Studios
Day 6 - Visit Turn 10 Studios and Xbox HQ in Seattle
Day 7 - Visit Insomniac Studios and get a joy ride on the Warthog
Day 8 - Travel to United Kingdom for lunch at Playground Games
Day 9 - Attend the MerseySide Derby
Day 10 - Travel Home

So how can you get in on the action? You just have to play the featured Xbox One Game of the Week once for a chance to win. And if you play all seven Games of the Week in seven weeks, you get seven chances.

The games you have to play are:

Week 1 (10-16 Nov) - FIFA 15
Week 2 (17-23 Nov) - Forza Horizon 2
Week 3 (24-30 Nov) - Sunset Overdrive
Week 4 (1-7 Dec) - Assassin's Creed Unity
Week 5 (8-14 Dec) - Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Week 6 (15-21 Dec) - Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Week 7 (22-28 Dec) - Dead Rising 3

In case you're wondering, yes, it started yesterday.

And, yes, you have to buy the games yourself.
