Moonton Games and Zenway have officially kicked off Season 5 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Singapore (MPL SG). Open qualifiers began two days ago and registrations for Season 5 will close on Feb 15. So if you and your teammates are looking to make an impression and win an extremely lucrative prize, head on over to https://register.mplsg.gg/.

The new season will be a great opportunity for teams that want to reset and showcase why they deserve to be recognised as a top contender in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang scene.

Season 4 of MPL SG garnered over 32,000 peak concurrent viewers, a record high for the league. The on-ground event reached peak capacity, with over 3,000 fans showing up across three days to cheer for their favourite teams during the Playoffs and Grand Finals.

Besides showcasing your skills and teamwork in Singapore, MPL SG serves as pathways to regional and international stages, such as the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) and the M-Series World Championship. Last season’s champions RSG SG and runner-up Slate Esports (formerly known as EVOS SG) represented Singapore on the international stage.

“Local esports athletes have a lot of passion and talent to offer,” said Lee Jian Ming, Managing Director of Zenway. “We always look at ways to raise the level of our league and players, and one of the ways is to expose the teams to international events where they can benefit from the experience.”

Season 5 key dates and tournament format

Similar to previous seasons, interested players are required to form a team with four other players and sign up for the qualifiers, which will be held online from 18 to 19 February. The top two teams will then advance to the Regular Season of MPL SG Season 5, where they will face off against veterans from Season 4 looking to clinch the top spot.

“MPL Singapore remains committed to our aim of enabling professional esports athletes to compete at the highest levels of sportsmanship. Given the right resources and support, we believe that our esports players can surpass other regional and international teams,” stated Jaime Cruz, Esports Lead, Singapore, Moonton Games.

“We had an awesome run in Season 4, achieving a record-breaking PCV and a full house for our Playoffs,” said Lee. “Season 5 will expand on our fans’ experiences, where we aim to continue enhancing the viewing experience online, while also improving the onsite fan experience to ensure accessibility and space for a larger audience.”
