GPS WATCH

Polar M400

$289, available later this year

Instead of wearing a fitness tracker in addition to a GPS running watch, you can just wear one device - the Polar M400.

It can track pace, distance and altitude with its built-in GPS. It keeps tabs on your personal bests and tells you when you have broken your own records.

The M400 also monitors your daily activity, tracking steps taken and calories burned. When you have been inactive for too long, it will alert you to get moving.

It is water-resistant down to 30m, so you can wear it all the time without fear of water damage.

SMARTWATCH

Cogito Pop

$179

The Cogito Pop looks like a regular watch and works like one with classic analogue movement. But it is actually a smartwatch with built-in Bluetooth connectivity.

When connected by Bluetooth to your smartphone, it can alert you when you receive a call, e-mail or text messages via the four LED icons on the watchface.

You can wear the watch into the shower or at the beach, as it is water-resistant down to 10m.

It is available in pink, white, grey, blue, black/purple and all-black.

HEADPHONES

Pioneer HDJ-C70

$299, available next month

Designed for deejays, the Pioneer HDJ-C70 uses a special sound isolation air chamber integrated into the housing of the earcups to minimise background noise.

Soft and comfortable earpads wrapped in comfortable soft black leather create a nice seal around the ears and help to keep out extraneous sound.

The earcups move vertically along the slider arms, offering a total of 15 positions, while the slider arms can be rotated up to 90 degrees for different deejaying styles.

The 40mm drivers are specifically tuned to produce lower bass frequency found in music.

MUSIC PLAYER

FiiO X1

$159

Once upon a time, the Apple iPod Classic was it. Now, hail the FiiO X1.

This new portable music player comes with the classic iPod-like scroll wheel design with the menu interface customised around it for easy navigation and playback of your favourite music.

Made of aluminium alloy, it weighs only 106g. But it can provide up to 15 hours of music play on a single charge.

It supports major lossless music formats, such as Flac, Alac and Ape, as well as MP3, ACC and other lower-resolution formats.

DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER

Sony ICD-TX650

$199, available next month

Only slightly longer and wider than a KitKat bar, the slim and sleek Sony ICD-TX650 is a digital voice recorder you can take anywhere.

Its internal components have been configured for optimal audio recording with depth and realism.

Even if the device is turned off, you can press the REC button to start recording immediately. You can also configure it to begin recording a meeting, for instance, after a preset number of minutes, to skip recording the pleasantries.

RUNNING SHOES

Asics Gel-Kayano 20 Lite-Show

$249

If you like running at night and your feet like Asics shoes, the latest Asics Gel-Kayano 20 Lite-Show may suit you.

They have Glow-in-the-Dark Gel cushioning systems for both cushioning and visibility.

This shoe has an improved lightweight mid-sole foam that has great bounce-back ability. A new multi-directional stretch mesh upper creates a glove-like fit for both comfort and movement, while the shoe's Dynamic Duomax technology enhances stability and support.
