New SPH app Trezo lets users buy and sell new, second-hand items via handphone

SINGAPORE - People looking for a convenient platform to sell their second-hand or new items via their mobile phones can now do so through media group Singapore Press Holdings' (SPH) latest app, Trezo.

The marketplace app, created by SPH's Digital Division, is available for both iOS and Android devices. It lets users post new or second-hand items they want to sell, and also purchase items from other users.

With a name stemming from "treasure", Trezo aims to help people sell off their pre-loved treasures while enabling users to find treasures from others as well.

There are no restrictions on the number of listings a seller can post on the free-to-use app.

Trezo has amassed more than 5,000 listings and more than 3,000 downloads since its soft launch in February this year.

To celebrate the app's launch, Trezo is giving away one smartphone per day. Users who make a listing on the app from now till May 19 stand a chance to win either a Samsung S6 Edge, the LG G-Flex 2 or the iPhone 6.

Winners will be drawn and announced daily from April 20 onwards.

Thirty smartphones, 10 of each model, will be given out in total. Each post a user makes gives them one chance at winning a phone, with additional posts further improving their chances.

Plans to make the app more than just one for buying and selling items are also in the works.

Said Mr Xiao Xin, SPH digital division's product manager: "We want to make the app more engaging by adding social, interactive and gaming features to it, so that it integrates with their lifestyles and usage habits."

"With these fun tools, users can look forward to a more wholesome experience when using Trezo," he added.
