Omnidesk has announced the Vision, an electric standing desk that wants to be a one-stop workstation for creatives.

The Vision is basically an Omnidesk Pro with a small form factor Vision Mini PC attached beneath the desk, so you get a fully functioning workstation when you purchase it, minus the monitor of course.

The Vision Mini uses the VESA mounting system and can be easily detached for maintenance or upgrades. In addition, it can be mounted anywhere under the desk, and not necessarily just the right side.

At first glance, the Vision looks like it'll be great for small businesses or any workspace that has a hot-desking or co-working arrangement.

The starting specifications are best suited for productivity tasks, comprising an AMD Ryzen 5 3400G, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB NVMe SSD.

Of course, you'll be able to outfit it with the full range of accessories for the Omnidesk Pro, including the power clamp and tabletop wireless charger. The Vision is a nifty solution for anyone looking to set up a clean and minimalist workstation, and it offers plenty to work with for reducing clutter.

Separately, Omnidesk is also rolling out new finishes for its desks. You can now order the desks with solid walnut tops, including the option to add a strip of River Resin in the middle of the desk.

Other than that, you can also opt for what Omnidesk calls Finger-joint Walnut and Walnut Plank. The latter two differ mainly in terms of how the pieces of wood are joined together.

The Finger-joint top comprises multiple smaller pieces joined together for a tessellated appearance, while the Plank top is made up of larger pieces for a more uniform look.

Omnidesk partnered with a local wood maker to produce the walnut tops, and they come with all the same features as the regular tops, including the threaded inserts and cable passthrough.

Both the Vision and the new walnut desks will be on display at COMEX 2019. The Vision will launch at S$1,499 for the 48-inch version (60- and 72-inch models also available), while the walnut tops start at S$469 on top of the regular tops.
