Oppo to launch selfie phone in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Smartphone company Oppo will launch a new smartphone series in Singapore.

Called the F series, the F1, was featured popular TV series America's Next Top Model (Cycle 22). 

It will launch on Feb 27 at Oppo's concept stores at Suntec City, Geylang Road and People's Park Complex, as well as all M1, Singtel and StarHub stores. 

According to a statement by the company, the phone comes with a 8-megapixel front-facing camera and the company claims it will make selfie shots 30 per cent clearer.

The phone, which will retail at $429, comes with Oppo's patented Screen Flash technology where the phone's entire display is converted into a camera flash, with a calibrated brightness level that will allow for selfies to be taken in low light conditions.

Using the Beautify 3.0 application within the phone, the F1 will also be able to enhance users' features, such as skin brightening and blemish removal.

Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 series Octa-core processor with 3GB ram, the F1 comes in two colours: gold and rose gold.
