The performance bar for powerline adapters (devices which make use of powerlines to transmit data) keeps going up. Sineoji, a Korean brand which has eaten into the turf of Aztech which once dominated this product line, has just introduced the world's first 1800Mbps Gigabit HomePlug.
It incorporates MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) beamforming technology which is the use of multiple antennas to improve performance. Beamforming changes the directionality of the antenna array when transmitting to optimise the reception range of WiFi signals.
The PL1800E supports HD media streaming and is compatible with older Sineoji models HomePlug AV and HomePlug AV2.
