Singtel and AIA are giving customers mobile data if they walk around more

Singtel has partnered with insurance company AIA to launch StepUp. This "wellness platform" allows Singtel postpaid customers on My Singtel app to earn local mobile data, and lifestyle rewards from AIA and other partners.

With StepUp, both companies want the users to access content related to "wellness, fitness, and nutrition." Singtel and AIA have plans to "co-create innovative insurance products relevant to customers' increasingly digital lifestyles."

Participating Singtel customers can earn up to 3GB of local mobile data with StepUp. This depends on the number of steps they clock on StepUp. For example, a customer, who takes 10,000 steps or more daily, will receive 3GB of mobile data. If the daily steps fall between 5,000 and 7,500 over a month, the customer is eligible to redeem 1GB of mobile data. Visit here for more information on how to set up StepUp.

Starting from 1st August this year, Singtel customers can take part in AIA Vitality Challenge on the StepUp platform to enjoy lifestyle rewards that include "movie tickets, gourmet coffee and ride-hailing vouchers." The AIA Vitality Challenge is the insurance company's initiative that started in 2017 to encourage its members to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle.
