SingTel apologises for mobile and fixed broadband service disruption

SINGAPORE - SingTel apologised to subscribers today after a disruption to its mobile and fixed broadband services left many users unable to acccess the Internet.

"We are aware that some customers may be experiencing intermittent difficulties accessing the Internet via mobile and fixed broadband lines. Services are now being restored progressively," SingTel said in a Facebook post.

"We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience," it added.

Angry customers had earlier taken to social media to report problems with their internet connections.

One user complained on Facebook that there had been no internet service in Katong for five hours.

Another user said that she could not even get through when calling the telco's customer service.

SingTel said in another Facebook post at 2.45pm that Internet access for its mobile and fixed broadband services had been fully normalised.
