Sony Cyber-shot DSC-KW11: A digital camera made for the fashionista

Created with the fashionista in mind, Sony's new Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 digital camera is designed with one main purpose in mind: to help you take the perfect selfie or snap of your outfit of the day and get it up on your favourite social networks with minimal hassle.

Much like the Nikon Coolpix 995 before it and the Canon Powershot N, the Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 is great for selfies. While the Powershot N's LCD flips up over its lens to face you, the Cyber-shot DSC-KW11's lens is mounted on a swivel that allows you turn the lens back on yourself while still being able to frame and compose your shot on the large, high-definition, high contrast 3.3" Type OLED screen.

Featuring a 19.2 (effective) megapixel Exmor RS CMOS sensor matched with a bright 21mm f/2 wide-angle lens (35mm equivalent), the Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 is set to get you clear quality shots every time, even in poor lighting. Use the swivel to turn the lens back on yourself for easy selfies, and try out effects like Skin Toning and Skin Smoothing while shooting to achieve flawless skin without the aid of professional make-up.

Five effects can be applied during playback mode: Skin Toning, Skin Smoothing, Eye Widening, Face Slimming, and Shine Removal, and all can be fine-tuned to your preferences so you can achieve your desired look. With the Cyber-shot DSC-KW11, you get a camera that has an elegant, sophisticated design reminiscent of a perfume bottle - complete with Swarovski elements - that fits nicely in your hands, and won't look out of place in your handbag.

Set up a self-timer with literally a flick of your fingers thanks to the Flick Touch Shutter feature, which lets you tap and flick your way through settings like delay timing and number of images on screen. NFC and Wi-Fi capabilities mean you can easily pair and control your camera via smart device with Sony's Smart Remote Control feature on the of PlayMemories Mobile app.

There's even a ring stand that allows the Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 to stand freely at a tilt, or be hung against a wall, allowing for hands-free photo-taking.

The Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 comes in four beautiful silky pearl colors (White, Pink, Green and Violet) and will be available in Asia Pacific at all major Sony dealers from October 2014 onwards. Price and availability in Singapore and Southeast Asia to be announced.
