Starhub voice coverage down in eastern and western parts of Singapore

SINGAPORE - Starhub customers in the eastern and western parts of Singapore have been experiencing difficulty in establishing mobile voice calls since Wednesday morning.

The local telco operator said in a status update on its social media accounts that the outage is limited to mobile voice services, while mobile data service remains unaffected.

Users on Starhub's Facebook page complained of reception issues in Woodlands, Bishan and Tampines since 8am. Some users also said that their mobile services are affected.

"We are working on restoring voice services for affected customers as quickly as possible," Starhub said in its update posted at 11am.

It later posted another update at 3:35pm that rectification works are underway for affected customers.

However, the telco operator did not explain the reason for the outage.
