StarHub's new gamer-centric fibre plan comes with attractive freebies

StarHub, together with ASUS, has announced a new fibre plan that's been designed for gamers.

It's called the Turbo Gamer 2Gbps and it's a 2Gbps plan that aims to offer gamers the best blend of performance and value.

Not only will subscribers be able to enjoy super-fast 2Gbps Internet access, but they will also be receiving an ASUS' new ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 free of charge.

The ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 is an AC2900-class dual-band router that delivers data transfer rates of up to 750Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 2,167Mbps on its 5GHz network.

On top of that, it is one of a handful of routers that supports DFS (Dynamic frequency selection), so you'll be able to use 5GHz Wi-Fi channels that are typically out of bounds and reserved for government services.

It also has a slew of gamer-centric features that improves your gameplay by prioritising gaming traffic.

The StarHub Turbo Gamer 2Gbps plan costs S$62.90 per month and will be ready for sign-ups starting tomorrow at StarHub shops and online on their website.

Not only will subscribers get the ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 for free, but they will also enjoy two months free subscription as part of the launch promotion.

The ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 can also be purchased separately for S$399, but it is only exclusive to StarHub broadband customers.
