The top-end iPhone model will get a huge camera upgrade according to reliable analyst Ming Chi-Kuo.

In his latest investor note, Kuo claims that the top-end iPhone model (commonly referred as the iPhone 12 Pro Max) will get a new camera module for the wide-angle lens.

It is said to be a 1/1.9" sensor, which is significantly bigger than the 1/3.6" sensor in the iPhone 11 Pro. There will also be sensor-shift stabilisation system for the new wide-angle lens.

The bigger camera sensor and sensor-shift technology will be introduced to the other iPhone models next year. Kuo added that the telephoto lens will be next to benefit from the sensor-shift stabilisation.

In Dec 2019, DigiTimes reported that some 2020 iPhone models could come with sensor-shift image stabilisation technology.
