AsiaOne on air: Silent disco, new party venue and 4th of July cookout to look forward to this weekend

AsiaOne on air: Silent disco, new party venue and 4th of July cookout to look forward to this weekend

Plenty of music choices to dance to this weekend as recommended by our Party Girl. Here's what to get up to.

Start the weekend off on Saturday at kult kafe on Emily Hill with a Silent Disco.

What's a silent disco, you say? Well, everyone is given their own wireless headsets and gets to dance to the music they like.

For  this party, there will be disco, house, and rock music to choose from, and you can switch channels whenever you want.

Best thing is when you do decide to chat to someone, you don't have to shout over the music. Just remove your headphones and talk.

The party starts at 8pm for $45 with one drink. (Update on Friday, July 1: Tickets are now sold out)

After you've boogied up to three types of music, you can add another genre when you head over to Chijmes.

A club called N30 is playing hip hop and house music from 11pm.

The DJs are local legends so head down for a great jiggy.

Cover is $20 is one drink, dress code requests no slippers and shorts.

Then on Monday, the 4th of July which is the United States' independence day, Kilo at Kampung Bugis is having a cookout with American grub.

There will be brisket, chicken, ribs, beer, cocktails and plenty of funk and soul to bop to.

It's on from 4pm so if you need an excuse to leave work early, here it is.

Just make sure your boss doesn't blame me for your need to suddenly work from home.

If you don't know, now you know.

To catch the Party Girl, listen to her on OneFM's #1 Breakfast Show with Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman on Thursday mornings.
