British singer Leona Lewis confirms her engagement

Flashing a huge diamond ring a couple months back was probably a huge enough hint, but there's nothing quite like hearing it from pop star Leona Lewis' lips (or rather, Instagram feed) - she's engaged!

The 33-year old former X-factor judge took to the social media platform to officially announce her status, saying, "I'm bursting with joy and overcome with emotion that I get to embark on this journey with my best friend, my partner crime, my ride or die!"

In an interview with People magazine, the songstress said of her fiance Dennis Jauch, "It's amazing that we were brought together from different sides of the world through both of our passions, music and dance, whilst on tour in the UK eight years ago."

The pair started dating in 2010, and had met when Jauch worked as a backup dancer on her tour.

Jauch also dedicated a sweet message to his wife-to-be: "When I first laid eyes on this beautiful human more than 8 years ago, our souls connected in a way, I never knew existed. You have helped me grow into the man I am today, & to see you touch the lives of so many, inspires me to become the best version of myself."
