Even Jay Chou gushes about something - this rare Ferrari

#Boyswillalwayslovecars was what Mandopop king Jay Chou had to say after he went gaga over a friend's limited-edition Ferrari on Instagram. 

In a series of photos, the singer is seen posing with the car, showing it off to his followers. 

The 40-year-old has always been a fan of expensive cars, reportedly having a collection of up to 20 cars, including a custom-made Batmobile. In fact, he was given a $446,000 Lamborghini SUV by his wife for Christmas last year. 

So why hasn't this avid car collector gotten his hands on this Ferrari?

While he hasn't, Jay seems determined to make the car his "family car" in the future.

For starters, the Ferrari in the photo is not just any Ferrari. It is a LaFerrari Aperta, of which only 200 units are said to be available worldwide. This limited-edition ride is so rare that in order to buy it you need to receive an invitation first.

The car is said to be worth $2-3 million and was sold at an auction for $9.49 million, making it "the most valuable 21st-century automobile ever sold at auction". 

With such impressive specs, it's no wonder that Jay and his celebrity friends were gushing over the sight of it.

In another post titled "Men like cars", Jay poses with buddies Shawn Yue, Will Liu, Jimmy Lin and Show Lo with the car in the background. 

With more photos of him posing beside the car, we can't help but imagine an eager Jay running to his friend's house just to gawk at his car.
