After a 44-day confinement from giving birth, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza made her first public appearance at the launching of her eighth boutique, sporting a slimmer figure after losing 14kg, reported Harian Metro.

The singer was attending the opening event for her boutique and new collection, Creacion by Siti Nurhaliza, at a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur.

Siti Nurhaliza revealed that the main factor for her quick weight loss was the fact that she was breastfeeding her daughter, Siti Aafiyah.

“It’s true that many have pointed out that I am slimmer. This is due to breastfeeding Aafiyah and a smooth confinement process.

“Throughout the 44 days, I was well taken care of, including my diet. I was given only healthy food which are steamed and grilled as well as brown rice,” she said, adding that she avoided fried food.

She said even though she is now 70kg, she would like to lose another 11kg.

Sharing her experience as a new mother, Siti Nurhaliza said she was constantly up at night but it was a memorable time for her.

“During the first month, I was like a zombie. Aafiyah kept waking up at night because she would sleep during the day.

“I would be lying if I said I wasn’t tired but when I look at my daughter’s face, all that fatigue just disappears,” she said.
