Adorable graphics highlight uniquely Singaporean ways of eating common foods

SINGAPORE - There's the usual way to eat foods llike bananas (peeled), crabs (boiled) and ice-cream (in a cone or cup)... and then there's ours.

Deep fried goreng pisang, chilli crab and ice-cream in bread are well-loved Singaporean favourites, which may be unusual to some in the Western world.

Our uniquely Singaporean ways of eating certain foods were recently highlighted by ConnexionSG, an online engagement platform by Nexus, the Ministry of Defence's Central National Education Office.

In series of adorable graphics shared on its Facebook page, ConnexionSG also parodied the latest YouTube smash hit, Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen using the local version of carrot cake (although it really consists of radish instead of carrot).

And not forgetting raw fish, which is eaten together with other "huat things" i.e. yusheng during Chinese New Year.
