Coffee junkies in Singapore can once again satisfy all their cravings under one roof as Singapore Coffee Festival (SCF) returns this year.
Held at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre from August 3 to 6, the festival features a spread of brewing workshops, home roasting demos, flavour profile discovery classes, cafe talks, and coffee appreciation sessions.
The festival will also play host to the Singapore Aeropress Championships 2017 organised by Common Man Coffee Roasters.
This year, festival-goers will enjoy two new perks. They can redeem two sample drinks at the participating exhibitors at the festival, and use the SCF Coffee Card to enjoy exclusive discounts at over 30 cafes and F&B establishments throughout the month of August.
Other festival highlights include the Barter Market, - a cashless bazaar featuring more than 20 local makers and artists - workshops on leather-crafting, candy-making, and #nofilter photography, as well as morning yoga and family-friendly activities such as storytelling sessions.
The arts will also play a big role in this year's festival which has the theme "espresso'self". Visitors can join The Straits Times artists in live graffiti performances along the wall panels of the venue or get coffee doodles and coffee poems on takeaway cups.
More than 80 exhibitors will showcase their premium brews at the event, including new entrant Jewel Coffee, and hipster stalwarts Common Man Coffee Roasters, Chye Seng Huat Hardware and Oriole Coffee + Bar.
On weekend evenings, cafes such as Symmetry and Hyde & Co will offer an al-fresco dining experience along the Sunset Wharf amid live music acts.
SCF will be open to the public from August 4 to 6, with two sessions each day - Brunch from 10am to 3.30pm and Sundown from 4.30pm to 10pm. Tickets are priced at $22 per session and can be purchased online at http://sgcoffeefestival.com.sg.
The festival is organised by The Straits Times and presented by DBS, and supported by Singtel, Nespresso, Princess Cruises, Mandai Park Holdings, Sembcorp, and National Library Board.
