From Japanese to Spanish: Restaurants open during CNY long weekend

Some of you are familiar with the transformation of Singapore into a ghost town every Chinese New Year, when the nearest eatery open is a fast food restaurant.
It looks like those days are becoming distant.
Last year, The Straits Times noted that more food and beverage businesses were choosing to remain open during the sacred first two days of Chinese New Year.
The situation seems to be the same, if not better, for those who want to dine out this festive period - which will be a long weekend with Monday (Jan 30) being a public holiday as well.
For many of the restaurants in three of the four Japanese dining clusters that opened here in the past two years, it will be business as usual. Chinese restaurants like those under the Paradise Group will be taking no breaks, save for two outlets, while several Din Tai Fung outlets will also be open.
