A businesswoman in Singapore boosted her sales by 70 per cent after she started selling nasi lemak with lobster, China Press reported.
Despite the slightly higher price, the meal, which is sold at S$22 (RM69), has received overwhelming response from Singaporeans and foreigners.
Sarena Talib sells 18 to 30 plates daily.
The 45-year-old woman said she got the idea from the brisk sales of the seafood stall next to hers.
"The variety of food sold at the stall is not cheap, but it still draws huge crowds during lunch time.
"That was when I decided to match the luxury ingredient to the traditional food," she said.
She also sells nasi lemak with salmon, crayfish and cuttlefish.
