SINGAPORE - For the month of October, Singapore citizens and Singapore permanent residents (PRs) can enjoy a S$20 discount off their next mammogram.
All that is required is for them to head down to the Singapore Cancer Society or any Guardian outlet to collect a special "Pink Coupon."
These coupons entitle the holder to a discounted mammogram rate at participating clinics and x-ray centres that are listed on the coupon.
Interested members of the public are required to fill in a form with their details before receiving the coupon, and are required to present their coupons at the screening to enjoy the discount.
Although appointments must be made by Oct 31, 2011, screening dates are available until Dec 31, 2011.
This initiative aims to encourage Singaporeans and Singapore PRs to take care of their breasts by going for a mammogram.
To encourage this further, Guardian is giving away a S$20 Guardian discount voucher for every mammogram coupon distributed at its outlets. These vouchers will only be valid after consumers have completed their mammogram.
They can be used only for selected products carried by Guardian, such as Brands essence of chicken and Scotts health products.
Consumers keen to support the movement and raise funds for the Breast Cancer Society can also purchase special key chains featuring the breast cancer pink ribbon retailing at Guardian stores.
These key chains are selling at S$3.90 and all proceeds will go towards the Singapore Cancer Society.
