$810,000 raised at charity lunch for sick kids

SINGAPORE - Some $810,000 were raised at the Arc Children's Centre's first- anniversary charity lunch gala held at the Pan Pacific Singapore hotel, far exceeding the $500,000 target the non-profit organisation had set.

The funds will go towards helping the day-care service's education and developmental programmes for children with serious illnesses like cancer and leukaemia, as well as providing emotional and moral support for their families.
