Fast-food operators suspend delivery services

Update: Pizza Hut is another fast-food operator that has taken action to suspend its food delivery service due to the hazy weather conditions in Singapore.

This was what AsiaOne found after checking the pizza delivery website at around 2.25pm.

The latest PSI reading at 2pm stands at 355.

Three other fast-food operators in Singapore have also suspended their food delivery services temporarily.

Pastamania is the latest food joint to suspend delivery service. It posted this message on its website: "Dear PastaManiacs, due to the bad haze condition, our delivery service will shut down till further notice to ensure the safety of our riders. Sorry for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your kind understanding."

McDonald's announced on its Facebook page at about 12am on Thursday that it will halt all McDelivery orders until further notice.

"Due to the current state of the haze, and to ensure the safety of our McDelivery riders, we will be halting all McDelivery orders until further notice," the post read. "We regret any inconvenience caused and thank you for your kind understanding," McDonald's added.

At about 12pm today, KFC also temporarily suspended its delivery service. It posted this notice on its Facebook page:

"Dear KFC fans, our delivery service has been temporarily suspended in the interest of the health and safety of our riders. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and seek your kind understanding. We are monitoring the conditions and will provide an update once our delivery service resumes."
