SINGAPORE - An initiative to loan wheelchairs to needy residents of Sembawang GRC will be launched at its annual carnival for active ageing this Sunday.
The wheelchairs, contributed by grassroots leaders, are available to any resident in need, not just the elderly, free of charge.
Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan is the guest-of-honour of the carnival, which will be held at the Mega Sports Park at Woodlands Avenue 1 from 8.30am.
