MUAR - All government offices and schools in Muar and Ledang reopened Tuesday morning after the state of emergency was lifted on Tuesday morning.
Muar district officer Abdul Rahman Mohammed Dewam said the National Security Council informed his office Monday evening the state of emergency was lifted.
"All are back to work as usual and all schools have resumed classes in the morning," he said.
The state of emergency in Muar and Ledang was lifted after the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings in the two district improved drastically.
According to Muar natural disaster operation centre, the reading dropped to 121 as of 2pm on Monday from 746 on Sunday.
