IMH gets stamp of approval for nursing courses

SINGAPORE - The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) has received an international stamp of approval for providing high-quality continuing nursing education.

It is the first mental health institution in the world to receive the American Nurse Credentialing Centre's Accreditation with Distinction, the centre's top accolade.

IMH received the accreditation for three courses offered by its nursing education department. These are in the management of psychiatric patients, elderly patients with mental illness, and aggressive and violent patients, said IMH in a statement on Tuesday, which was Nurses' Day in Singapore.
