Doctors at a Spanish hospital said a 39-year-old woman who gave birth at her home did not know she was pregnant until her water broke.
The doctors, from La Paz hospital in Madrid, said the woman called emergency services early on Thursday and reported she had been experiencing severe stomach pains all day
She suddenly realised she was in labour when her water broke, newspaper thinkSpain reported on Thursday.
The hospital said the woman's baby boy had already emerged by the time paramedics arrived and the pair were taken to the hospital, where officials said they are doing well.
