SINGAPORE - Local singer-actress Foyce Le Xuan, 33, announced on Facebook on Oct 29 that she has breast cancer and will undergo surgery to remove a tumour in her breasts.
In the post she shared details of her cancer diagnosis and asked for support and prayers for the surgery to go well.
"Tomrrow morning admission to Mount Elizabeth Hospital, operation to cut off the whole solid lump in my breast, that reads irregular on ultrasound. Further scanning of MRI scan report its read malignant, cancerous. ☹ Despair obstacles once again set forth my life. Friends, do pray for my operation and condition, that there will be no extreme pain, no tears, no distress," she wrote on her Facebook.
The singer-actress is known for having stepped forward to share that she was sexually harassed by local director Jack Neo when she was working in J Team Productions. This came after the disclosure of Jack Neo's affair with Wendy Chong in March 2010.
She was also in the news in 2011 when a car she was in crashed head-on with another car. While the occupants escaped relatively unhurt, Le told The New Paper that she later discovered her injuries were more severe than she originally thought. Her right cheekbone was fractured, so she had to undergo surgery.
Le said she had to have a metal plate and screws inserted through incisions in her mouth and lower eyelids.
Then, she had expressed concern about the scars on her face.
