SINGAPORE - That light is shining again.

Sex and the Singaporean is a subject that often rears its head, and not always in the most flattering light.

An online survey by pharmaceutical company Menarini Group was conducted to measure sexual behaviour and satisfaction in the Asia Pacific region.

Singapore does not seem to come out of it well.

The survey took place earlier this year and saw 3,567 respondents from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand and as far as Australia, China, Hong Kong and South Korea.

Aged between 18 and 45, all the respondents were sexually active, with only five per cent not in a relationship.

The findings showed that Singaporeans - both men and women - want more action in the bedroom, but sadly aren't getting as much as our regional cousins.

While the regional average for frequency of sex among Asia-Pacific inhabitants was 7.7 times a month, for Singaporeans it was just 5.6 times a month.

Find out what were some of the other findings.
