Watching TV cuts life span

Sin Chew Daily reported that an Australian study has found that watching 60 minutes of television every day can cut 22 minutes off a person's life.

It was reported that researcher Dr Lennert Veerman had asked those studied about their general health, exercise routine, diet and smoking habits.

The research, published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, also found that those who spend six hours a day watching TV have a shorter lifespan, by 4.8 years, compared to those who don't.
