The Job:
As a Webknowledgist, you will:

1. Develop, edit and upload content as well as manage a section of your own on SPH websites
2. Produce video reports.
3. Organise social networking events.

The Job:
You will be responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of a website. Using a combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge of how web pages are created, the work involves:

1. Liaising closely with webknowledgist/online journalist
2. Producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required; Java, Perl, Flash and Dreamweaver
3. Deciding how images and other material will be optimised and presented for the web
4. Skills in multimedia and interactivity is an advantage

The Job:
You will create Internet and mobile online news portals.

You will also work alongside content producers and creative designers to develop exciting and cutting-edge web-based and interactive projects including AsiaOne.com, Straits Times.com and Business Times Online.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or related fields
• More than 3 years of programming and relevant working experience in commercial projects preferred
• Experience in Java / J2EE development including JDBC, JSP, and XML is essential
• Strong HTML and JavaScript skills are required
• Knowledge of Content Management Systems is a plus

The Job:
You will produce video packages for the web. You are also expected to present information with voice overs and on camera appearances.

Multimedia Journalists can fill a number of roles including reporter, presenter and the editing of video packages.

The Job:
You will be producing quality video footage for the web. You are also expected to assist in a live studio production. These include manning studio cameras, lighting and sound.

You will also edit video packages, weaving a story from available video footage and interviews to tell a story.

Your duties will include: uploading your recorded and edited content to our servers.
Knowledge of Final Cut is a plus

The Job:
You will have to provide systems support for the operations of English/Malay Newspapers Division - Multimedia Centre (MMC) and support the technical operations of the Multimedia Centre (MMC).

It also requires you to work closely with users and external vendors to develop technical solutions as well as plan and manage web-based focused projects. In addition, you are required to work closely with users to launch new verticals and applications for the different websites. You will also provide on-going support and offer technical assistance to the MMC staff operations.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Studies with minimum 3 years of working experience in IT, handling network & system infrastructure and project management, preferably in the web environment.
  
• Team player with good organisational skills and ability to multitask.
• Have deep interest and knowledge of Web 2.0 environment.
  
• Knowledgeable in Windows, Macintosh and Unix environment.
• Five day work week, with shifts.
