8 penthouses that show what life at the top is like in Singapore

Can you say "whoa"?

Penthouses are among some of the most luxurious properties that you can call home in Singapore, and for good reason.

Other than being extra spacious, these 'palaces in the sky' are also accompanied by all sorts of fantastic features: private swimming pools, loft platforms, outdoor spas, and not to forget, an amazing view.

And while we can't bring you into these amazing homes to take a look, we do have photos of them. So, keep scrolling to get a peek at 8 beautiful penthouses that'll show you what life at the top is like!

1. EUPHONY GARDENS BY LIM AI TONG (LATO) ARCHITECTS

It's hard to miss what makes this penthouse at Euphony Gardens so appealing. Soaring walls with veiny white marble patterns draw the eye upwards, highlighting the full height of its living spaces.

Further highlighting the penthouse's height is the loft area, connected to the ground floor by an impressive spiral stairway.

Completing the look are unobtrusive walls of wood-clad shelves, which give the space comforting warmth, along with storage functionality.

2. 63 PATERSON BY FINELINE DESIGN

Going big might be the key to creating an impressive home, but it's important not to neglect the finer details either.

In this classy, yet cosy penthouse, which was designed by Fineline Design, a varied material palette consisting of wood, metal and textile layers was put together to give the living areas character and depth.

Not forgetting personal zones, such as the bathrooms, the same attention to detail is conveyed through textured stone tiles and natural accents that add a rustic touch to otherwise bland spaces.

3. PATERSON SUITE BY ELEMENTS ID

There's a reason why penthouses cost as much as do: With its impressive, ballroom-like living room, a rooftop pool as well as a view to match, this classic high-rise apartment perfectly showcases the stunning appeal that these luxury homes have.

Here, Elements ID introduced a variety of classy interior elements that come off as opulent without being stifling, namely a neutral-based colour scheme, gleaming surfaces as well as plush furnishings to create a welcoming atmosphere.

4. THE SERENADE BY HAIRE LIVING

Envisioned as a clean, contemporary space, this penthouse at The Serenade serves as the perfect home for a large family.

Featuring a variety of luxurious amenities - such as a greenery-filled outdoor gym that overlooks the surroundings, a resort-like garden shower as well as a semi-sheltered spa - it goes without saying that this is one impressive dwelling.

5. THE AMBROSIA BY PARA.GRAPH

Formerly a messy resale home, this Scandinavian-themed penthouse by design firm Para.graph now features an array of sleek built-ins and structures that underscore its minimalist aesthetic

For easy, fuss-free storage, a custom-made shoe cabinet was built into an empty niche at the living room's rear, thus providing a practical solution to what would have been a dead corner.

Designed along similar lines, the penthouse's kitchen was made more useful with bespoke storage as well as a widened entrance that improves the flow of movement in and out of the space.

6. URBAN OASIS BY BLACK N WHITE HAUS

Conceived for a young family, this mod-industrial penthouse comes with all manner of custom amenities that satisfy the needs of its occupants.

For starters, a mezzanine loft was constructed in the living area (which has a 4.5m tall ceiling) to serve as a private study and the perfect placement spot for a TV projector.

Meanwhile, the bedrooms were kitted out with tailor-made built-ins, including trendy panelled walls and a cutesy cartoon headboard shelf.

7. BLUWATERS 2 BY SCHEMACRAFT

Drawing inspiration from his childhood home in the Hamptons, this coastal-style penthouse was created as a personal oasis for its owner - albeit with a twist.

Here, subtle Asian influences were introduced alongside blue-and-white decor to create a fusion look that still reflects the home's core identity.

To create a natural, seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor areas of the penthouse, the owners also sought ways to make the rooms as open as possible, including installing sliding doors and windows that allow the breeze and sunlight to enter unimpeded.

8. VERTIS BY ASOLIDPLAN

While this minimalist penthouse may seem regular in comparison to its luxurious counterparts, it more than makes up for the lack of sumptuous spaces with its fresh design.

Designed by asolidplan based on the idea of 'sliding', this unique-looking apartment pushes the limits of what transformative screening can do, both on the inside and outside.

In the living area, a custom-made screen can be used to create different degrees of transparency, with the same concept applied to the TV's storage cabinets as a nifty way of producing a minimalist, clutter-free look as desired.
