KUALA LUMPUR - Some 12,000 people braved the rain to watch R&B diva Mariah Carey perform at Stadium Merdeka for the first time in a decade.
The powerhouse vocalist, who first performed in Malaysia back in 2004, took to the stage at around 9.15pm last night before a sea of poncho-clad fans.
She belted out fan favourites Fantasy, My All and Hero along with the more recent #Beautiful amid the pouring rain, which started at around 6.30pm and continued well into the night.
Carey was in Kuala Lumpur as part of the Asian leg of her "The Elusive Chanteuse Show" tour to promote her latest studio release Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse.
The concert was organised by IME Productions and supported by Malaysia Major Events, an agency under the Tourism and Culture Ministry.
