PETALING JAYA - Tourism Malaysia has called for a tender for advertising agencies to take part in its 2015-2017 tourism promotion campaign.
In a statement issued yesterday, Tourism Malaysia said 140 representatives from 135 advertising agencies attended a briefing on the tender on the same day at its headquarters in Putrajaya.
The current contract for existing agencies expires on Dec 31.
Under the Malaysia Tourism Transformation Plan (MTTP: 2020), the Government aims to receive 36 million tourists and RM168 billion (S$65 billion) in tourism receipts by 2020.
The two major initiatives to help meet the targets are the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 and Year of Festivals 2015 campaigns.
