3 Malaysian students questioned by Manchester police

Three Malaysian students in Manchester were detained and questioned by local police.

In a statement Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry said they received reports that the trio were detained and brought to the Longsight police station for questioning at 5.40pm (Manchester time) on May 29.

All three students were later released at 9pm (Manchester time).

"The Ministry wishes to advise the public to remain vigilant and follow the instructions by the local authorities," it said.

On May 29, Manchester police noted that 16 people had been arrested since a suspected suicide bombing killed 22 people at a concert at Manchester Arena last Monday.
