4 arrested over brutal attack of woman in Klang

KLANG: Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the brutal assault and slashing of a woman outside her workplace at Taman Klang Jaya.

South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Shamsul Amar Ramli said the four included the woman's husband who was the main suspect in the case.

"We also seized a car, a machete and several mobile phones," he said when contacted Monday.

It was reported that a man driven by jealousy, allegedly attacked his wife at her workplace, and a video clip of the incident has since gone viral.

In the two-and-a-half-minute video, a man is seen dragging and beating Komathi in front of a blue car while screams can be heard in the background in an area believed to be in Klang.

Another man, brandishing a parang, then gets out of the car and walks towards his friend, who is seen dragging the woman towards the passenger side of the vehicle.

One of the suspects then swings the parang repeatedly at Komathi, who is bundled into the car screaming.

The suspects then drove off and dumped her at the Seremban Hospital before fleeing the scene.

The case had been classified as attempted murder.
