KAJANG - Police have arrested seven people in connection to a rape and robbery that took place at a nursery in Pandan Indah.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said six men in their 20s to 30s and a woman in her 40s were arrested in Ampang on Tuesday evening.
Police also recovered a mobile phone that had been taken in the heist.
"Most of the suspects have criminal records," he said after the handover ceremony from former Kajang OCPD Senior Asst Comm Othman Nayan to the district's new head, Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff, on Wednesday.
He said all suspects are expected to be remanded later Wednesday.
SAC Fadzil said two of the six men who had been arrested broke into a nursery in Pandan Indah and raped two women, believed to be the nursery's caretakers.
"The men also tried to erase all evidence by splashing bleach on them," he said.
After raping the caretakers, the men ran away with a mobile phone and television.
