7 more left in the lurch at KLIA

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Airport Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has rescued seven more stranded passengers who had been at the KLIA transit area for more than 12 days.

MAHB senior general manager of special operations Datuk Azmi Murad went to the airport at 2pm after The Star alerted him of their whereabouts.

Accompanied by airport security officers, he was led to the lounge where a Syrian family of six had been staying since July 1.

Teacher Khaled Ali, 40, his wife Rwaida Shahada, 36, and their four children had been squatting within a narrow hidden walkway at the transit lounge.
