PETALING JAYA - A video posted on social media by Tan Sri Tony Fernandes captured a moment of true 'Malaysian-ness' on board an AirAsia flight.

The AirAsia Group CEO uploaded a video on Thursday of an AirAsia air steward showing off his teh tarik (tea-pulling) skills and serving the drink to passengers mid-flight.

"Check out our talented Ganesh. Making the best Teh Tarik at 36,000 feet," said Fernandes in his Instagram post.

In the video, the air steward is seen pouring hot water into one of two cups in his hands.

He then proceeds to 'pull' the tea between the two cups a number of times.

"You want some?" he says to the camera before handing the frothy beverage to an awaiting passenger.

In his Instagram post, Fernandes did not specify when and on which flight the video was taken.

However, there have been previous reports online earlier this year of an AirAsia flight attendant who appears to be the same person in Fernandes' video serving teh tarik to passengers.
